Five submissions this week, thank you, and with quite a spread of guesses.


Congratulations to Colonel Failure and Wombert for correctly predicting that the Rumberos would cling to their razor-thin lead to beat the Cannoniers by 2. Too close to call!

Let's see what that does to the leaderboard:

Week 6

Bit of a quiet week, this one. it's proving a challenge to find matches that meet the three criteria:
- an interesting challenge to predict
- between human players
- who haven't already been featured

Only one game fits these criteria this week:


Reykjavik Arctic Foxes @ Nottingham Arrows
On paper this seems like an easy one but the Arctic Foxes have been closer to victory than their record would suggest and I wouldn't count them out at all. (And in fact I won't.)

To liven things up, here is a bonus question.

Question: By how many points will YOUR game be won this week, regardless of winner?
Scoring: 5 points for an exact match, 3 if you're within 3, 1 if you're within 5.
No points for predicting the winner.
E.g. instead of saying "I predict that my team, the Austin Osteopaths will defeat the Galapagos Galaxybrains by 5", say "5".

Five entries this week, if you're not actively bleeding, what's your excuse???

Despite my hopes for a resurgeant Arctic Foxes, it was not to be.



Congratulations to NanuNanu and Wombert for correctly predicting that the Arrows would strike true, and both only missing out on the 5 pointer by 1. Unlucky.

Crafty Question results:
Getting your games involved in week 6 has made things interesting:
NanuNanu came closest, missing the correct number of points in their game by 1, but they get 3 points for the effort.

Also getting 3 points is Colonel Failure who missed by 3, and bringing up the rear is Kickjess who missed by 4 and gets 1 point. The other 2 guesses were wildly wrong and if anything should see points deducted. Maybe next time!

Let's see what that does to the leaderboard.

(I'm really starting to regret this format, finding compelling background pictures for some of these teams is a real challenge... at least I've not had to photoshop goalposts in like I did previously)
