Re: 2031 Predictions Game

Greetings, it is I, the new custodian of the Electrosports Football League Predictions game.

A quick recap of the season so far, we have much ground to cover.


7 predictions out of 7 entrants, with only 2 correctly predicting that the High River Rangers would triumph over the beleaguered St. Austell Brewers. Myself, and NanuNanu76.


Only 4 predictions were submitted, sort it out you filthy casuals - and of those 4, only 1 correctly predicted that the Raptors would vanquish the Crazy Wolves. Furthermore, that one prediction suggested that the Raptors would win by 10. Who did that? Oh, it's me.

Rough leaderboard as it stands after Week 2:

2. NanuNanu76: 2


3. The rest of youse: NUFFINK.

I find the allegations of corruption so soon into my tenure as custodian to be vexing, I assure you that my colleagues here at the Department for Prediction Game Results have investigated ourselves thoroughly and have found no evidence of any wrongdoing.

However, due to clearly flagging enthusiasm, if it will help matters, I am willing to nullify the results from the first two weeks and am happy to provide an amnesty whereby new entrants are welcome to join.

If you have any ideas for what could be done to reinvigorate the predictions game, please let me know. All ideas are welcome.

Whether it is changing up the points system, rewarding runs of good guesses, allowing people to suggest wildcard games, cash prizes*, or adding achievements with shiny medals you could put on your profile (if MFN allowed profile customisation) - what would it take for YOU to participate? Let me know on discord, rather than clogging up this thread.

* No cash prizes

Area man, drowning in gradients, discovers that his format doesn't work as soon as you have to put the scores in. Oh well.

Congratulations to Colonel Failure and Kickjess, who got the winner correct for both games, and to Wolfgang and Wombert who correctly predicted the winner in the first and second games respectively.

As I never received any feedback about whether to nullify the results of week 1 and 2, here are the standings as they are:
