The whole problem is the once per 24 hour sim roll.....poaching coaches and signing coaches is almost insignificant when compared to free agent signing of players.

Everyone puts in a blind bid and whoever spends the most wins?!?!?

Wouldn't a players agent seeing 10 teams interested in him tell the other 9 teams that team 10 made the best offer and does anyone want to match it or offer more???

I've seen top tier free agents sign with a team when several teams made offers nearly as significant.

Let's say 4 teams offered 6 years 96,000,000 and a 5th team offered 6 years 100,000,000....No agent in his right mind would just accept the 100 million without creating a bidding war.

My whole point is that the way the sim is structured is the reason nobody is notified when a coach is being poached....it would take multiple sims to happen just like with free agency. It's a design flaw that we all have to live with under the current game structure.

I also think there should be two other point that agent should consider.

1) winning record of the teams as for couple of M more why would he want to stuck his player in loosing team.

2) hometown consideration... if you have played with a team and its winning why would you blow it up for couple of million and pack the bags to move the player.

#1 = No Good. It just slants it more in favor of the have and have nots. :(

#2 = Love this. Player retention advantage is fine with me.

The whole free agent/coach poaching system has its flaws but under the current system...one spin every 24 hours....their is no simple fix.

It does have its pluses....no hold outs or outrageous salary demands....you know exactly to the dollar what it will take to retain your own players. If you offer them the bonus requested...you can structure the deal anyway you want.

While having a coach poached is an annoyance....it has very little actual impact on the game. Besides nobody would give permission to having a coach poached because their are no ramifications if you don't allowed coaches to be hired to a promotion.

Under the current system, it's just something we all have to live with.
