Will Smith is on target to replace himself in the top 3 with just under 2,500 yards thrown so far. The all-time record is 5,114 but the target for the podium is only 4,362 leaving Smith requiring an average of 234 yards per game to make the grade. Francis Fahey also has a shot at glory, but trailing by an additional 350 yards is going to make life more difficult.
Terri Partisan's 1,465 all-time record is definitely under threat from Cody Melton at the Oryx. Having reached 745 yards at the season mid-point, Melton need only continue the same pace to take first overall. It's close at the top, however. With only 100 yards separating first and third, even one game off the pace could lead to Melton missing out.
Khalida Neferher is a long way ahead of target to take the single season receptions title, the record set by JuJu Jung-Schweitzer under serious threat right now. Neferher's pace puts him on target for just short of 150 catches, the current record being 132. The Tomb Kings' tight end is currently nursing a minor injury, so the record may remain intact if Neferher spends any time on the bench.
Another tight end joins the running for the most receiving yards in a season in the form of current record (and second place) holder Maya Higa. The all-time record is just 1,193 yards and both Higa and Nefherher are ahead of the game when it comes to snatching that #1 spot.
Wilbert Hubert from the Cannoniers has 88 kicked points in the season so far making him very much capable of overtaking the 161 set by Martin Gully in the 2028 season. The form shown by the London kicker isn't the best, and the record would almost certainly fall if he were a little more accurate, but all those 20 yard chip-shots are adding up.
A second London player in in the running for the sacks top 3, Cao Ren having 13 in the season so far. This puts him on pace to match the performance set by Richard Merrill last season, although teammate Chanticleer Hegemony's in 2028 record of 31 sacks looks to be safe. Continuing to talk pressue and the unlikely form of Benny Viper at the Revolver is currently in record-breaking form with 14 hurries. The all-time high set by Richard Merrill was only set last year, but right now Viper is beating that target.
Speaking of unlikely performers, Romeo Brown at the Brewers has a shot at making the top 3 for interceptions. Dexter Sinister holds the first and second spots right now with 13 and 11 grabs. Brown's 6 puts him in position to split the first two, but it's unclear whether he can make the grade since 4 of those interceptions came in a single game. Sometimes, that's all it takes.
At the more ignominious end of the records are Chance Closure (TOK), Christopher Skalski (PEN) and Onion Terror (LON), all of whom are carrying 6 penalties in the season halfway point. The most penalties recording in a single season was 13 by Gabriel Caoutchouc in 2027, but 10 in a year is the current third place "record".
