Create a playbook

I’d like to see an option where owners can create their own plays!
For those of us who’d like to put in some extra innovative thought into the strategy of the game...
And it would be an option, not mandatory, so that the owners (who wouldn’t bother with creating plays) can still use the default playbook according to your HC.

I’d also like to see the top 3 (HC/ OC/ DC) have more impact and influence based on their ratings and styles.

A timeout planner when to use during gameplay would help alleviate unnecessary timeouts during the game.

Madden did this for a long time. I never failed to create a few very broken plays. Some of them held through years of versions until they took out play creation. The reality is, it creates paths that there is no code for. I would imagine it is possible, but the amount of code to create a flowing def to adjust would be phenomenal. MFN does not have an army of coders.
All that said, yeah, it would be the "bomb."

Oh i see.......
I'm not familiar with computer jargon like you are or at all familiar with the nuts and bolts of computer codes Etc. But I understand what you're saying now, but it's too bad because it would add another dimension in a game that we all admire, and bring forth more strategy! I still would like to see coaches have more influence,

While I like the idea of having greater agency over the playbook, what if, instead, each coach had plays associated with them? That way, instead of owners rigging their playbooks to take advantage of the current meta (cookie-cutter play comes from greater player agency, sad but true), they'd be tied to the coaches' abilities and preferences. Maybe owners could design 1 play per season as a "team signature" or something, to personalise their experience a little.

I've actually never sat down and made it a point to list down the differentiating plays from a certain coaching style. I play it as it lays out to me and/or when my HC retires I make sure to replicate his coaching style, therefore, I don't lose my plays or the extreme knowledge with them.

With that being said, there's 1 set whose runs fluctuate greatly based on what coaching style you have.

I like your suggestion as a play infusion is needed! :)

Is there a list of the different formations and associated plays and how they tie in to the coaches' styles?

You have to do your own research. :( Pick a team, peep his offensive or defensive coaching style and then run down the plays. Possessing multiple teams aid with this because then you can compare and contrast to sort it out.

Was afraid you'd say that...

Will devote some of my "free" time to the community and make a list...

CSV downloads of plays a coach has available to him would help immensely... ;)

I used to play Goalline Blitz.

Creating your own offensive and defensive plays seemed pretty easy. The issue with that league was you created your own players and eventually everyone used the same player creation styles.
