New coaches

I have a certain setup of a head coach I like (West Coast/Run 4-3) in MFN27, one coach over 80 meets that criteria (he's a HC so I can't get him) .. the next 22 are <60. Can more comparable coaches be loaded with the same coaching setups as those retiring?

I'm not asking for more 80-90 30 year old coaches .. but some more 70+ ones would be nice.

Or better yet..... just let us select our own playbooks in the off season and then we can just worry about having the best available coach...

actually i like this idea best where we could select or even create our own playbook for our teams then we could just pick the coaches we want to just fill in the coaching staff.

This. This. This. 1000 times this. I'm so tired of not having every play available to me when trying to build a game plan. This is going to get more frustrating as the play bonuses roll out for good. There are multiple plays that work that are available in one playbook and not another. So then people complain about others overusing certain plays. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. Kick the soap box off the high horse. Etc.

I've always wanted a League Play Book, that is mine and only mine but only for that one League.

It would start with my HC, every play my HC has. Then I could 'poach' plays from my own lesser Coaches, and from 'stealing' them from other teams that I face.

Over time I could craft a completely unique style from my Play Book.

Or, you could cut out the middle man and start with every play, and select the ones that you want.

The main problem I see with this is that it opens the flood gates to exploitation of the playbook. By dividing up the best plays into different philosophies, we can minimize the effect of the unbalance.

There isn't one playbook with every money play in it. That keeps the game on a level playing field.

There aren't enough "money plays" to make this a real problem. ****, there aren't enough effective plays right now to make this a problem.

I LIKE the middle man. I LIKE the Coaches serving some purpose. I don't want every play handed to me on Day 1... I'd like to EARN some things.

I don't want 'easy mode'.

Coaches do something. They guide the improvement of your players, especially those essential attributes like Passing Accuracy or Tackling, and they supposedly give an in game boost. That's really what coaches should do. Everything else should be left up to you.

If you thinking having a wide open play book that you have to build yourself is "easy", you're not spending enough game planning right now. :)
