Just a couple ideas for everyone to chew on. Granted I am new to MFN but a huge fan of football, statistics, math, and simulation games pretty much my whole life. These are by no means a deal breaker but would add a little flair to an already excellent platform.

- Add a feature to develop your own plays. This has been done in many games played on consoles but not sure if it's possible here. As a side note to this, maybe add an option to view your team practicing chosen plays (even if they can't be created by a user) to see how the players perform on each. The offense could practice the plays against the defense which would also give a use feedback on how the defense would perform on similar plays.

- As mentioned in other threads, the future rating scale can be considered flawed since a user knows immediately how a player is going to pan out. This is mainly because, from what I've seen so far, once a player starts to decline, he will continue along that path regardless of variables. What if the future ratings of a player could swing in the other direction (or increase/decrease at a faster/slower rate) if there is a coaching change or if their position is changed to something more suitable to their skill-set.

- This one may be too complicated but worth mentioning. What if there was more information about the incoming draft class. Maybe adding their stats from college would allow users to make a more informed decision, especially on players that have a high volatility. Users would also have to considered what conference they played in and compare that to the stats they compiled in their college games.

As I said, these are just thoughts I had during the first month of playing and I'll reiterate that this is the best online football manager that I've seen to date. Thanks for all the hard work!

It seems like any change to the predetermined plays is a big ask. It's not the first time people have asked for the ability to make their own plays, to no avail.

Perhaps more realistically, people have asked for:

- Run-and-gun offense. Don't let us assume that when we see four receivers, we're automatically getting a pass. This would be more historically significant than the full-house backfield.
- Fake punts. People can get away with putting tiny, fast rushers on the line is because they never have to play defense.

I would also like to see:

- Motion. IRL, it happens all the time. But, in MFN, pre-snap motion never happens at all.
- Varying kickoffs. All offsides kicks get lofted to the left. IRL, teams are smarter than that, and offsides kicks never go out of bounds. The crazy formations we used to see have been outlawed, but the occasional surprise could keep us honest. In addition, players in the wedge never have to handle the ball, because there are no pooch kicks. There is no reason to put tight ends or fullbacks back there. If the occasional surprise were allowed, people could not automatically assume a straight-up kickoff is happening. The resulting exploits are not as oppressive as punt blocking, but they happen because kickoffs are painfully predictable.
