Audibles

Let us say one team is great a t keyings formations in order to shut down offenses . Or they use a few/ several blitzes all game long on certain down or situations a greater chance of audibles happen.

As a team shows a look . ....for example 4-3 vs. 1-3-1 ....after aboUT several times or the same look few times, set by a slider the offense can audible out of that run that got stuffed three times in a row to a pass over the middle to the TE. Essentially not calling that run until the defense allows for it, by how strong you set the audible setting.

How it would work...

Each team gets three audibles out of off each formation if they choose to do so. Each set off by a similar guide to the game play ajustment. But instead of choosing a different play from short meduim or long when average yards per play drop below a threshold set.... the audible triggers.

Same would go for the defense .....if you blitzed all the time and got beat by the back in the flat after a few high average plays the trigger sends you in to a different defensive play..

Or you just planned for them to pass but they ran it alot instead.

All this is within the same formations for now. Triggered by the average yards per play within that play and on what ever down . As the game tallies these numbers all along, but I rarely use them.

This would allow for more chances for intelligence to come in to play in a football setting by having the in audible caller (qb, mlb, fs for example ) need to be smart to notice these in game nuances and notify his other teamates. As well as using the same meter for the other players to pick up the audible and execute it.

Like the idea of adding audibles to help the offense combat the defense if it is feasible. It would also allow for the more intelligent quarterbacks to enhance an offense where in the NFL there are usually 5-10 truly elite quarterbacks who adjust at the line base on the defense presented.

My other suggestion would be to create plays with motion from the recievers, te's and running backs. This would further allow the quarterbacks to read whether the defense is in man or zone and pick the weakness pre-snap.

My thoughts and ideas at the moment.

Appreciate any input.
