Depth Chart Overrides

Sometimes you know what you want to say but can't say it clear .. I hope this is understood .. lol (Im at 50 hours of work this week with another 10 to go!)

I have a secret .. I'm not the world's smartest gameplanner. I wanted to suggest to "dumb" down the override process.

I have 2 guards that I would like to rotate based on the play .. one for run blocking .. the other pass blocking. There are 5 basic play types: Inside/Outside Run and Short/Medium/Long Pass. I would like to be able to set my basic formation this way (not by formation .. because I have no idea what "big", "normal", etc. mean).

Basically the depth chart override screen showing check boxes:

()Inside Run ()Outside Run ()Short Pass ()Medium Pass ()Long Pass

I can then have my basic group with say the pass blocking G starting .. click "Inside Run" .. drag the run blocker into the line and then when the Inside Run is called, the correct player is in.

I will probably keep the decision at the personnel level. Why? Because in real life, if you sub in a player any time you have an inside run, your opponents will quickly realize this and exploit it. But if you sub in a player based on formation, that's not telling the defense anything they won't already know when you line up.

Sure, here you don't have the ability to respond on defense like that, but for the sake of realism I have decisions like this happening at the personnel/formation level.
